i never worked as a tech before and i read this book while taking notes and attending a class (that used this book as a text book) and most of what i know is from the book not the class (the class was mainly on useful programs and beyond a+ topics) and i took the a+ exams and passed them both with 15% or so to spear , just make sure you know your printers and port numbers before taking the test, and this book is all you will need

I love this book. It is full of real world examples, and Mike's writing is not dry like so many other A+ books I read. The CD is also great. I watched the videos, and did all the tests on the CD. What I did not like about the book is the pictures are black and white.

I studied the very first edition back in the age of the dinosaurs. Back then it covered both Windows and DOS and even had chapters on Windows 3.1.
It was -and still is -a huge book that looked like the compendium of all things known to man, and I consumed every bit ... Read More

So far excellent product. Will not know for sure the results of the material until after taking the test from its study.
